About Fukushima Midwives Association

Community Corporation Japan Midwives Association - Fukushima prefecture Branch Introduction

Community Corporation Japan Midwives Association is a national professional organisation run by midwives. It aims to improve the occupational position of the midwives, conduct academic research in the field of midwifery and it also hopes to spread and improve the knowledge and support on family/mother & child health to the community.

The association is formed by 47 province of Japan, and each member is also a member of one of the following associations; Jyosannsho Bukai (Midwives Association) or Hoken Shidou Bukai (Health Guidance Association), or Kinnmu Josannshi Bukai (Working midwives association).

Following eight regional district parties form the Fukushima prefecture branch; Iwaki Kai, Fukushima Kai, Koriyama Kai, Kinugawa Kai, Sukagawa Kai, Wakamatu Kai, Kitakata Kai, Tajima Kai. Five staff (Manager, two Deputy managers, Secretary, Accountant) and two auditors form the administration of the Branch.
